ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
HOMMY CONSULTING
Last updated: 01.06.2026
Applicable to: www.hommyconsulting.com and all related digital services
1. Our commitment to accessibility
Hommy Consulting is committed to making our digital presence accessible to everyone, regardless of ability, technology, or circumstance. We believe that hospitality, including digital hospitality, means that no one should be left at the door.
Accessibility is not a feature we add — it is a value we hold. Just as we help hotels create welcoming experiences for every guest, we work to make our website welcoming for every visitor.
This accessibility statement explains the standards we follow, the steps we take, our current limitations, and how to reach us if you experience any barrier when using our digital services.
2. The standard we follow
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility and is the reference standard for:
-
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) — applicable across the European Union from June 2025
-
EN 301 549 — the European harmonized standard for accessibility
-
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) — applicable in the United States
-
The Equality Act 2010 — applicable in the United Kingdom
-
The Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) — Germany's national implementation of the EAA
WCAG 2.1 Level AA covers a wide range of accessibility considerations, including support for screen readers, keyboard navigation, sufficient color contrast, text scalability, captions for media content, and consistent, predictable site behavior.
3. What we do to support accessibility
We work to ensure that our website is accessible by applying the following practices:
-
Text alternatives for meaningful images, so they can be understood by screen readers
-
Clear, readable typography with sufficient size and line spacing
-
High color contrast between text and background to support readability
-
Keyboard navigability so all interactive elements can be reached and used without a mouse
-
Logical reading order so the page makes sense when read sequentially
-
Descriptive link text so the purpose of each link is clear out of context
-
Consistent navigation so visitors can predict where to find information
-
Resizable text so content can be enlarged without breaking the layout
-
Multilingual content in English and Spanish, with German planned, to support non-native speakers
-
Forms with clear labels and instructions to support input clarity
-
No content that flashes in ways that could trigger seizures
-
Plain, direct language wherever possible, avoiding unnecessary jargon
4. Current limitations we are transparent about
We are committed to continuous improvement. At this time, we are aware of the following limitations and are actively working to address them:
-
Some embedded third-party tools (such as scheduling systems, video players, or analytics widgets) may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We choose partners who prioritize accessibility, but we cannot guarantee full compliance for every embedded component.
-
Some content that pre-dates this statement may not yet meet our current accessibility standards. We are progressively updating older content as we identify it.
-
Video content on our website may not yet include full closed captions or audio descriptions in all available languages. We are working to add these.
-
Our website is currently built on a hosted platform (Wix) whose underlying components occasionally update in ways that may temporarily affect specific accessibility features.
If you encounter any other barrier, please tell us. Your feedback is the fastest way for us to identify and fix issues.
5. Assistive technologies we support
We design our website to work with widely-used assistive technologies, including:
-
Screen readers such as JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (iOS and macOS), TalkBack (Android), and Narrator (Windows)
-
Voice recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking
-
Keyboard-only navigation
-
Browser zoom and operating system magnification tools
-
High-contrast and dark mode browser settings
We test our website with the most current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on both desktop and mobile devices.
6. If you experience an accessibility barrier
If you have difficulty accessing any part of our website, or if you need information in an alternative format, please contact us. We will do our best to provide the information or service you need in a way that works for you.
When contacting us, it helps if you can tell us:
-

11. Date of last review
This accessibility statement was last reviewed and updated on 01.06.2026.
We review this statement at least once per year, and whenever significant changes are made to our website.
Hommy Consulting believes that good hospitality begins long before a guest arrives at a hotel. It begins the moment they reach out for information — whether through a doorway, a phone call, or a website. We commit to making that first welcome accessible to all.
